Hand Made Soor Plooms - You can tell from the vibrant colour (apparently, that's down to the temperature during the boiling) and imperfection (in a good way!) of these little beauties that they're hand made by an artesan. And let me tell you - they are absolutely delicious! The Chief Taster at A Quarter Of thinks these are stunning - the best they've ever tasted. They're supremely fruity with a lovely little blast of sourness and tartness.

Bought as a gift for an elderly colleague who remembers Soor Plooms from when he began courting his wife when she lived in Scotland and he lived in Liverpool (nearly 60 years ago!). He often mentioned these sweets to me when reminiscing whilst enjoying the stash of Rosy Apples I keep to hand at work. He said the Rosy Apples reminded him of Soor Plooms but he'd not been able to get any for years. He loved the Soor Plooms I got for him and said they took him right back to the days before he and his wife were married!
